Planned Parenthood Commission /
During the spring I was chosen by Planned Parenthood Advocacy Fund of Massachusetts to be one of several artists to create a pro-abortion work of art for their new campaign.
The release has come at a dark time with the bounty Texas has put on women.
Growing up I never felt my body was mine - for lots of reasons. Mostly trauma, misogyny, sexism and christianity. It was not until I started really working in therapy that I began to claim it. And it was not easy.
I support a woman's right to choose. To own her own body. To decide her future. And creating this work was such an honor.

An incredible art show curated by SAC event coordinator Iaritza Menjivar was at the Kenney Park Basketball Court in Davis Square. With vibrant colors this show tells the stories of the artists “popping out” of quarantine.” It contains visual art from artists Michael Talbot, Cindy Weisbart, Raysa Mederos and Jaina Cipriano.
