I had an amazing time at MASSCreative’s inaugural Creative Advocacy Institute in my fave little city, Lowell.
It was so inspiring to be around so many fierce advocates and changemakers. Culminating with an incredible closing with speaker Quanice G. Floyd - who told us in no uncertain terms to “go fuck shit up” and shared her philosophy and love of finding loopholes and refusing to take no for an answer.
I fucking love it.
I get asked a lot “when are you going to move to LA or NYC?” and this is the reason the answer is never. The people in MA are working hard to advocate for the arts and I’m thrilled to be a part of that movement.
