Massachusetts Independent Film Festival has such a special place in my heart! I am honored to take home the Spirit Award this year for my short screenplay Fell Right Next to the Tree - a story about generational trauma and facing deep fears.
There is so much talk about technique in the film world that sometimes I forget it’s an art - and I love how this award highlights that part of the indie film community.
